URGENT - A Sentence of Death.

This is an URGENT request for prayer regarding a critical situation that has developed in Iran over the past weeks. Eleven believers were arrested and are currently in jail. A few days ago they were judged as guilty of apostasy and sentenced.

Their crime? Because these believers left Islam and embraced salvation through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ by the Message of the Hour, they are now deemed “apostate”. In accordance with the Islam’s Sharia Law, “…the apostate must be executed”, though it is uncertain whether the courts will proceed with this penalty.

image001They are detained in prisons in the following three cities; Rasht, Tehran and Shiraz. These believers also have spouses and children at home. So not only is their  individual situation grave, but also that of their families - who without the husband’s salary, have little support for basic, daily needs.

As desperate as this situation is, our Lord is as much in control now as when other believers were cast into the lions den or fiery furnace many years ago in the same lands – then known as ancient Persia. Thus, we prayerfully seek our Lord’s perfect will in this dire situation. It might be asked if a lawyer should be engaged? (One has been approached and is asking $1000 per person…of course there is no guarantee of release) Should an appeal be made to a higher order of government - as Paul did in Acts 25:12 when protected from the angry mob that sought his demise by declaring; “…I appeal to Caesar!” Is there merit in contacting your local Government representative to voice your concern to the Iranian Embassy? Perhaps, but do we not have a higher power greater than lawyers or governments that we can avail ourselves of? If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. [Jn 14:14]

Further more, are we not awaiting a manifestation of power in the Bride’s “3rd pull” ministry? Just as the Son of Man appeared as the 4thman in the fire to protect those under the death penalty at the beginning of the Gentile dispensation, have we not seen His supernatural presence now, at the ending of the Gentile dispensation? What significance is there to the fact that this is happening in the same country Daniel was a prisoner for his faith? Is the stage being set for the final showdown of the Gentile dispensation?

Faith of course requires a challenge, something whereby it can be exercised. How great our Brothers and Sisters deliverance would be to prove to the Islamic nation of Iran that our Lord is God. That the Lord Jesus Christ not only shuts the mouths of lions; cools raging fires, but still opens prison doors for those unjustly held for their testimony in Jesus Christ.

Please join us in sincere, fervent prayer for these believers in Iran.

Day 36 The Family Altar February 5

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand
doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For
precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line;
here a little, and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he
speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the
weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. (Isaiah 28:9-12)
Now, my Adventist brother, I want to ask you something. That's exactly right.
The Sabbath, that's kind of a strange word. The Sabbath really is a Hebrew
word which means r-e-s-t, rest. It's a rest day, Sabbath day; you quit working
and so forth. God finished His work, and never did come back no more.
Hebrews 4 speaks of it there, "for God did rest on the Sabbath day. And He said in
a certain place, another time, in David, 'Today after so long a time when you hear
His voice, harden not your heart.' Then if Jesus would've given them another
Sabbath, He'd have afterwards spoke of it. But there remaineth a Sabbath keeping
to the people of God, for we which have entered into His rest, have ceased from our
works like God did from His."
When do we enter into His rest? Now, you with the pencils, turn with me to Isaiah
28:8 to 12. Here's where you get it, precept must be upon precept; line upon line;
here a little, and there a little. Hold fast to that which is good. For with stammering
lips and with other tongues will I speak to this people. And this is the Sabbath, this
is the rest that I said would come. And for all this they would not hear, walk away
wagging their heads and so forth.
He said that the seal of the finish of salvation, Luther, justification, Wesley,
sanctification; but when the Sabbath come, the real rest day, it would be when
"stammering lips and other tongues will I speak to this people," and this is the
finished work. Hallelujah. This is the seal. This is the Sabbath.
Don't you see, it's the Holy Ghost, brother. That's when you enter into the finished
work. If you've just been justified, that's all right, that's good. If you've been
sanctified, that's good. But when you receive the Holy Ghost, it's a finished work,
and God has completed His plan of salvation, and sealed it with the baptism of the
Holy Ghost. Amen. Oh, my. How many believes it? The Holy Ghost in every place
in the Bible is a finished work. And God completed His work.
